Rihanna Apolgize To Drake, Says “I Chose The Wrong Guy”

Rihanna and Drake are officially now a couple and Chris Brown is slowly becoming a distant memory.

Earlier this week reports surfaced that RiRi and Drizzy are getting close. But now a close source to the Bajan pop beauty has confirmed reported that they are officially a couple.
The source says the two started texting each other recently and then started talking daily.

“Drake was the one who first initiated a conversation via a text message,” the source said.

“Ri (Rihanna) was happy to talk to him because she was hurting after splitting with that DB Chris. She told him she was sorry for hurting him and that she chose the wrong guy,” the source told us.

“Drake told her he will always have a shoulder for her to lean on and that he is happy as long as she is okay,” the source revealed.

Rihanna is currently touring Europe with her hugely successful Diamonds World Tour.
After her tour ends later this summer you can bet to see her and Drake in the club.

New Album Puts The Jamaican Justice System On Trial

As the Dancehall genre enters its biggest battle to date against politicians, bourgeoisie journalists and a seemingly well-established system determined to see to its demise, it has gotten timely reinforcement from a most unlikely source – the incarcerated but definitely not silenced Vybz Kartel. As the Jamaican government seeks to criminalize elements of Dancehall music it is fitting that it’s most notorious personality takes center stage to defend the genre even whilst incarcerated for nearly two years. Ironically, if there is any validity to the claim that Jamaican politicians and the Broadcast Commisions want positive music for youngsters, then they will endorse this CD from Kartel.

Vybz Kartel latest CD compilation Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto will serve to curtail all efforts by the powers that be to dismiss the genre as merely a perpetuator of violence as this shows that the genre at its best is simply an artistic expression of life in the ghettos of Jamaica. As Kartel co-author Michael Dawson explained about their book that the CD is based on: “Jamaican Ghetto life is not a pretty story so I don’t understand why certain people want Dancehall artistes to sing about niceties. Doing that would be hypocritical and I think we should leave hypocrisy to the politicians. This CD is straight reality, as real as you can get about Jamaica’s true roots and its modern day culture.”

Kartel shows that he is still one of Dancehall’s leading innovators as this is the first popular Dancehall album that will have independent commentary before each song in a series of interludes. This is certain to do well in Europe, Asia and other areas where listeners are challenged by the dialect as the Commentator clearly explains Kartel’s thought process in making each song.

Certainly this is expected to be short-listed on the Grammys and all Reggae award shows in the coming year but this CD just maybe the piece that will bring Dancehall to new heights. The world embraced Reggae because it was protest music and preached against injustice. This album does the same on very catchy dance beats so it will figure prominently on main stream charts. Many will be shocked by the versatility of Kartel but it is his revolutionary stand that is most impressive in this CD – a man behind bars, facing murder charges attacks the very system that can determine his fate and he attacks that system in the best way he knows – with his music. Why throw caution to the wind and be this brave on the eve of one’s trial? Listen to Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto and you may find out. The Album is now available on iTunes.

RIHANNA REKINDLES HER RELATIONSHIP WITH DRAKE, DONE WITH CHRIS BROWN

Rihanna seems to be finally moving on from Chris Brown.

The Bajan pop beauty is rekindling her old flame with Drake, according to reports.

Last month RiRi posted a video online of herself twerking to a verse by Drake. That video fueled rumors that she and the Toronto rapper are getting back together.

“When she was dating Chris, he banned her from talking to Drake,” an inside source told UK magazine Look. “She really missed him in that time – yes, they went out years before but he was also a good friend to her – so calling him was one of the first things she did when she realised she was over Chris.”

The source also said Drake never stopped loving Rihanna and had anticipate her and Chris Brown split.

“[Drake's been] waiting patiently on the sidelines. Just over a month ago, Drake gave Rihanna an ultimatum. He told her he needed to move on if she wasn’t going to commit,” the source said.

“His love life was paused when Chris and Rihanna reunited, and Drake claims it caused him stress headaches, writer’s block and anxiety. He was obviously sick of it, but Rihanna wasn’t ready for him. Now Chris and Rihanna are done for good, Drake might finally get his chance.”

Chris Brown is also moving on from Rihanna with Karrueche Tran. Both Tran and Rihanna were locked in a bitter love triangle with Chris Brown until Tran was forced out..

Missing Files From Vybz Kartel’s Case, Was Planned To Keep The Deejay Behind Bars?

As news spread in the entertainment industry of Vybz Kartel’s missing case file, friends of the artiste are contending that this is yet another ploy by law officials to extend the deejay’s stay behind bars.

Yesterday’s trial in which Kartel is accused of killing businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton was unable to get under way in the Home Circuit Court as when the matter was called up the prosecution told the court that it could not locate the document.

The trial was then rescheduled to today.

According to Gaza Slim, she is praying for Kartel’s release.

“To be honest, I don’t have much to say but I know my prayers are not going in vain, and who God bless no man curse. I can’t wait for this thing to be over, so that he can come a road and these delays are out of spite to keep him locked up,” she said.

The 2012 female deejay of the year is currently promoting singles Wine and Mamma. However, she is unable to travel because of her legal problems associated with Vybz Kartel’s incarceration. She is, therefore, hoping for a hasty resolution to be forthcoming.

“This thing is preventing me from travelling so I want it to be over with because it is stopping my income and I have bills to pay. But in God I put my trust and I know it must be over one day,” Gaza Slim told THE STAR.

Billboard chart-topping producer Elvis Redwood also believes the mysterious absence of the case file is another sham.

“They are just trying to delay the process and I hope the judge sees through this ploy. This is being drawn out for too long, look how much man trial start and finish already. It’s strange that they can’t find a document of that nature, and I think this is just a move to delay the entire process,” Redwood said.
Fashion designer and former booking agent for Vybz Kartel Moonie was tight-lipped on the issue. He said too much games are being played.
“I don’t want to get involved because a lot of games are being played. I am just focused on my designs right now and building the Halfa Moon brand because it reach international since Elephant Man wore my design on BET Awards,” he said. Moonie is expected to launch his summer Halfa Moon clothing line in August of this year.
The police say Burton was murdered while standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park, St Catherine, in July 2011. Kartel and his co-accus
ed were charged in October 2011...

Jay-Z Talks Collab Album W/ Beyonce, Dame Dash, Obama Texts + More

Jay-Z has not done a radio interview in over two years but decided to stop by his good friend Angie Martinez’s show on Hot 97 to discuss everything from Magna Carta Holy Grail to Blue Ivy’s rhythm and more.
According to Jay-Z, the innovative promotion for Magna Carta Holy Grail will not stop with The White Stripes guitarist Jack White providing a limited edition vinyl for the song “Open Letter”. The vinyl will be shaped as a card and able to be played as vinyl. He also reveals that he will release video footage of studio sessions for his new album, including the recording of “BBC” which he says consisted of all the featured artists in the studio at the same time.
When asked if it was really him tweeting to fans during yesterday’s impromptu Q&A on Twitter, the 17 year veteran coyly responded “C’mon, who else can come up with that stuff?”
The most revelatory information in the interview revolved around two collaboration albums Jay-Z has been linked to, Watch The Throne 2 with Kanye West and a Best of Both Worlds album with his wife Beyonce. In regards to bringing back the Best of Both Worlds series this time with Beyonce, Hov flatly denied it will ever happen and alluded to the failed R. Kelly version as a reason why by simply stating, “No way. You saw how that one ended.”
In regards to the follow up to his successful Watch The Throne album with Kanye, one half of The Throne stuttered through his initial response before saying there will be another Watch The Throne album “hopefully”.
